ANTIQUE/DIE STRUCK
Die Struck lapel pins are simple, elegant, “Jewelry-quality” appearance and high perceived value–without the high cost. No enamel color. Embossed feel & look that provides depth to your pin. The raised surfaces are polished and the recessed areas are sandblasted or textured. The metal is brass or copper, which is then plated in a variety of choices (gold, silver or antiqued). Die Struck lapel pins are great for adding a synthetic stone, initials or years of service.
THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
A die is made with your custom design. It is then struck in to a copper or brass base metal. If any metal in the background is exposed as indicated in your pin design, those areas are then sandblasted or textured. The enamel colors are then added to the recessed areas based on your custom pin design. The pins are baked at 350 degrees. The raised surface is then polished. A clear epoxy coating is then applied to the top of the pin if so desired.
